Follow our simple prep and post-care tips for a flawless, long-lasting glow.
Before your spray tan

Gently exfoliate your skin with a scrub, exfoliating mitts or dry brushing 24 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin cells and create a smooth surface for an even tan.

On the day of your appointment, avoid applying lotions, oils, deodorants or perfumes, as they can create a barrier and affect the tan's absorption.

Shave 24 hours before your appointment or wax 3 days ahead to avoid irritation and ensure the tan adheres evenly.

Wear loose, dark clothing to your appointment to prevent any colour transfer and ensure comfort after your tan.
During your spray tan

Wear suitable underwear (a thin thong) to create your desired tan line result or opt to go commando for a seamless tan.

A barrier cream is applied to your fingers and toe nails (if not sporting polish) to avoid staining, as well as on any dry skin areas.

Your spray tan session will be within a 30-minute time slot, which includes consultation, changing, getting sprayed, and drying time.

You will be dry enough to dress immediately after the wet/tacky feeling on your skin has gone.

Do not touch your skin while the tan is developing to avoid stained fingers and palms.
After your spray tan

Avoid water, sweating, and tight clothing for at least 8 hours after your tan to allow it to set properly.

Take a lukewarm shower for your first rinse, using only water to rinse off the initial bronzer. Pat your skin dry gently with a towel.

Keep your skin hydrated by moisturizing daily with a paraben-free lotion to extend the life of your tan.

Avoid products that contain alcohol, exfoliants, or retinols, as they can cause your tan to fade faster. For best results, use our recommended Aviva Labs products, specially formulated to prolong your spray tan and keep your skin looking radiant.
